Saw the book "Brutalist Plants" yesterday and can't stop thinking about how it parallels with network hosting and infrastructure for me.
I increasingly need my internet presence to feel like these images.

@mikael @andersaardvark Wondered the same - and whether there's overlap with repair communities and networks here...? It'd be good to set the contexts though, eg host a server while an event is on, vs hosting one long-term.

I did not know that Wipeout 2097 got an Amiga release.
@gustav Definitely - I've been finding a new way to hide the less important tasks on the list, but tempted to just buy a massive trunk to put all my real-world clutter in :)
@orbific Very sage. Had a coffee. Read a bit. Played a game. Reorganise my to-do list sheet to make it easier to cut out longer-term stuff, and re-thinking how to approach "To solve" rather than "To do". Step back to step forwards.
It's Bandcamp Friday! I've only ever made one album, but you're welcome to it: https://menoffocus.bandcamp.com/album/temporary-episodes
Feeling all rather too-busy-to-get-anything-done at the moment. Tips welcome.
WordPress is the new Windows.
Sometimes I think I'm crazy for running Linux and self-hosting stuff, but these days I'm not sure it's any more work or stress than paying for consumer tech products in the long run.
Catching up on the state of Google Home and amazed how support threads are now just 90% complaints about how bad it's got.
Remember when "smart homes" were the latest and greatest? Smart cities?
And yet still we want to trust our lives to the next <insert technical leap> paradigm companies want to force on us?
I'm good cheers.
@adrianh You can't be offended by what you're not looking for.
@interstar One of those things that AI should _actually_ be applied to... 😂
@luke Weird - I saw graffiti by the road today saying "Ben call dad!" Some kind of new meme? Or just coincidence?
@Richard_Littler or rather, had heard it before but not realised how insanely good the last third is.
@Richard_Littler omg discovered The Boxer after a recent charity shop pickup and now I can't stop playing it
@benedwards Not heard of Blackthorn before, but realised it's the proper name for sloes, which are definitely everywhere. Black, white, whatever! Maybe the bumper year is what I've noticed then, cheers 🙏
Today's #recordstoreday pickups (except Forbidden Planet). But best bit was getting pushed to go by #son1 for the first time, and experiencing that early morning #rsd queue rush.

Did a blogpost yesterday, a quick and hacky rundown of running backups based on the current energy mix:
