@inthehands @janeishly @datarama Me too, I read them as a child, in both french and English because my mum is french. Also Tintin, though that hasn't aged so well!

Love your argument, and an example came to me as I was reading it.Obelix's dog is called Idefix in the original french, which is funny because idée fixe means stubborn (literally fixed idea). But in English translation the dog is called Dogmatix, which has dogma in it but also of course, the word 'dog'!

Just as an aside, it's amazing how many people forget that Finding Memo begins with Nemo's mother dying. -

Also, in a marketplace of ideas, you only need one of each, so if there's a million dudes with the same idea, you only need to listen to one of them. -

Dear #RepairCafe peeps:
We have been running one in Coventry Central Library once per month for a few months, but I am bit worried that we are getting too popular! Each month we have more visitors turning up.
Last Saturday we had 34 people bring items but we only managed to try to fix 24 of them, the others we had to turn away. We had 5 repairers there for 3 hours.
How do we deal with this? We have space for more repairers, but they are difficult to find and we can't advertise more.
