There is no way autocorrect doesn't know what "advil" is. Come on.
Edited*: Come one to Come on because autocorrect has a vendetta against me.

Seems like a few people shape the world to their whims and the rest of us just have to make do.
Oh and before I forget again. Lyft does offer phone support; for gold tier drivers. That can be revoked at any time or something. I don't know I'm not using that shit.
So to recap, just because you drive for Lyft does not mean you automatically get assistance by phone. You have to earn that lol.
What a joke this company is
@inthehands I have seen this but Atlanta is too big a market for them to abandon it.
It's really simple, Lyft. Stop screwing your drivers over and you'll have more people who want to drive for you and you won't feel like you need to screw drivers to turn a profit.
You will absolutely get away with this stuff for a while, maybe even decades...that's business in America.
But if Ken lay and Bernie Madoff went down, how long do you think you have?
@inthehands And that's my thinking too, except tangentially...the Dogon knew about Sirius A and B centuries before the telescope was introduced to them. Likewise the Maya understood the length and cycle of astronomical events to a degree of accuracy that is quite amazing considering they didn't even smith metal
I've read that the original swastikas--not the nazi shit--were symbolic representations of the Milky Way? The spiral that it shapes. If anyone has done any formal study of comparative religion or you just know what I'm talking about, care to discuss?
So, if you're renting a vehicle through Lyft and you don't have any customer complaints, are in fact a 5.0 star rated driver but cancel more rides or don't accept as many rides as Lyft wants you to, they will make it nearly impossible for you to survive.
We say it all of the time here and so maybe its lost some of its effect but...people shouldn't have to work to live. People shouldn't have to pay for food and housing. We should be better than this by now.
I'm not trying to virtue signal...fuck all of that. I'm just saying, "smartest" animals on the planet and we make each other struggle to survive.
Yeah, all rideshare companies are literally middle men skimming off the top, except they're not skimming. They are taking the lion's share and telling us to go fuck ourselves.
Good people of Mastodon I am in dire straights currently. I am renting a vehicle through Lyft and last week it malfunctioned. I had to have thr vehicle towed and I was charged $250 for that service. On top of that Lyft charged me for the full week's rental even though I didn't have the vehicle for the week. I've been on the phone all morning trying to get the rental fee prorated. Hertz told me to call Lyft Customer Care, Customer Care told me to contact support through the app...1/
A crisis response team but instead of showing up and shooting anything that moves, they show up at a moments notice with food, medicine and first aid.
That's why when I say traffic court is an extortion racket, please believe that I am not being hyperbolic.
It's a racket to extort money (taxes) from the community. Mob shit.
@inthehands @betsyvr Oh yes, I'd almost forgotten how Qualified Immunity makes Mighty Men out of mice.
Police have too much power and they are a gang. Not like a gang.
A gang.
@betsyvr Most people don't realize it because they rarely see cops in action, in groups. The psychology and behavior is EXACTLY the same.
Last boost: Bryan Malinowksi is not the Black Man in this photo.
"Bryan Malinowski, the executive director of Little Rock's airport who was injured earlier this week in a shootout with federal agents serving a search warrant at his home has died on Thursday, March 21, 2024."
Hope can any single worker hope to gain ground against the collective will of Management (TM) and The Board (C)?
Especially in Blue collar work...union's should be mandatory. Should be Illegal to operate a warehouse employing more than 20 people and not have union representation onsite.
Listening to some Trump supporters and folks, smh, we are in BIG trouble. Big trouble. They follow him because of how he makes them feel and no other reason really. That said, the problem should be obvious: there will be no reasoning with them as they are being led by emotion. This will not end well.
More shit should be moss covered. That's a fantastic aesthetic.
