@scalzi @UncannyMagazine I have been a subscriber for years. This magazine is so worth the price. Don’t get worried by it being a Kickstarter. They have not failed to deliver an issue in the past and all have them been similar delivery method.

Once again - the Reddit blackout begins tomorrow. Do NOT visit reddit. Do not lurk to see what your favourite subs are doing that day. Ideally all week. But a minimum for two days.

Do not open the app. Go completely silent.

Hopefully Reddit does the right thing and reversed their decision on the API and mod tools.

After next week - If the blackout continues and Reddit sends in a scab to any of your favorite subs - unsubscribe to the sub and stop posting or commenting there.

@mmasnick I can’t test it but reports that everything using the api is down. Including Tweetdeck.

Which I will not be surprised if Tweetdeck never comes back. Because:
A. Musk can’t be bothered to look into how power users use Twitter
B. Twtteddck makes him no money because it shows no ads

Thinking about that last bit - it will be hilarious if this entire downtime is b/c he forced his team to push ads to the api and since they have no test environment, they just did it live.

@paul My fave is this one. It perfectly fits his narcissism to fly back from a private owners box seats to force his employees to work all night long for something that absolutely could wait until the morning.

@kathryntewson has an excellent thread on the idiot trying to get somone in major trouble with the law (illegally recording a court session, etc..).

But with how touchy he has been about it? What if the speeding case is his own? What if AI Idiot CEO is the speeding ticket client?

My prediction- whatever happens, the AI will not be used in the case and he will lie about it.
