    @kathryntewson has an excellent thread on the idiot trying to get somone in major trouble with the law (illegally recording a court session, etc..).

    But with how touchy he has been about it? What if the speeding case is his own? What if AI Idiot CEO is the speeding ticket client?

    My prediction- whatever happens, the AI will not be used in the case and he will lie about it.

      @mstein609 @Danielsand @kathryntewson I do have one legitimately interesting question though.

      It's pretty well understood that a pro se litigant is entitled to more lenient treatment than one represented by a lawyer. They're not expected to be as sophisticated so judges cut them some slack.

      Will someone with an AI still ask for that lenient treatment? Because that'll piss off judges right quick.

      @mstein609 @Danielsand @kathryntewson Ironically an AI would have a better chance in a complex federal motion hearing than in traffic court because at least then a citation to an opinion will actually be listened to and won't just piss off the judge.

      @mstein609 @Danielsand @kathryntewson I once lost a speeding ticket case solely because the person in front of me tried to make the same argument I was going to make but botched it up so royally that the judge didn't even let me finish because the last guy had no clue what he was talking about, & so it was clearly a bad argument. Judge even said, "were you here 10 minutes ago?" and I said yes, but that guy got the argument wrong, and I'm making the correct one, and he didn't want to hear it.

      @mstein609 @Danielsand @kathryntewson Side note, this is a MONUMENTALLY TERRIBLE IDEA.

      Have any of you ever BEEN in traffic court?

      THE LAW HAS NO DOMINION THERE. If you come into a speeding hearing & start talking about burdens & case law & precedent, the judge will shut you down on the spot because he ain't got time for that noise. The cop will say, "yeah I knew he was speedin' 'cause he was goin' really fast" & the judge will nod along. It's the freaking Wild West in those courtrooms.

      @mstein609 @Danielsand @kathryntewson Jenna Ellis's client won't get held in contempt for recording and transmitting proceedings without permission.

      @Danielsand @kathryntewson
      On the one hand, this seems like a terrible idea.

      On the other hand, how much worse could an AI do in traffic court than flesh-and-blood attorney Jenna Ellis?
