One thing I really liked in my forum and Twitter days, (for some reason I don't remember seeing on Facebook), is taking ideas from our world and applying it to characters. Things like, what music would they probably listen to or what song fits them, what presents might they give or like to give for Christmas, what's their astrological sign, Etc.
@heathen That's the other thing. For whatever reason I can't get into a TV show when it's new. It's always either in the last season or after it ends that I become interested.
I don't know about anyone else, but I will often put spoiler alerts when I'm talking about crucial plot points of any media, no matter how old it is, because I know people come to things at different times. Hense me putting spoiler tags on some of my Fraggle Rock posts, a show from the 80s.
So after finally getting my other account back, I found the one I was using was actually better and turned out to be the older one. What a mixup! But all sorted now.
I'm pretty sure if there were an answer I would've found it, but is there a way to change your username on Reddit and not just your display name? Thanks.
Also, sorry if you're sick of hearing me talk about a platform I know many people don't like. I just found a new (to me) toy and I'm having fun playing with it! lol
@ArchadiaSauria Ooh, I can't read in dreams. As for how information is transferred, usually just regular audio, (I hear voices), once or twice parts of my dreams have narration, and very often I just intuitively know what I need to know.
Yikes! I was lying on my keyboard and I thought I'd turned it off but I hadn't, and I kept hearing this strange sound! Turned out I opened about 100 timelines in Tweesecake.
I always feel weird for using the word racism in a fictional context. I mean racism is a problem that's very real and present and ugly. I feel like using it for fiction, especially when it's about non-humans, is minimizing it, though when 1 character has a problem with another or a group and is always demeaning and badmouthing their species, that's pretty much what it is. Anyone else feel this way? Is there maybe a better term for it?
@superflippy Also, while I've never had what I would call a lucid dream, in most dreams a little part of my mind seems to be keeping track and when something happens it'll say "wait, that's not the way it is in real life." The tricky part is, that part of my mind has been known to provide false information as well.
@superflippy In middle school I used to have some dreams where I could control the first few moves, but after I got deeper into it it took over. Also at least once I was able to wake myself from a pretty neutral dream because I knew it was about to take a bad path and turn into a nightmare.
There's no really deep reason for me asking, by the way. I just like hearing about people's weird dreams, lol. Hope no one minds, by the way. I feel a little bit like some kind of psychic voyeur.
