@babe To think that people tried to dissuade me from joining Mastodon back in the day, because they said it would be "boring and full of nerds", as if nerds are a bad thing. I would have missed learning that someone fucked a pumpkin.

@ryanhoulihan Huh. I don't know anything about her beyond the fact that she's married to Ryan Reynolds. The only thing that ever really gave me pause was their friendship with Hugh Jackman, given how friendly that guys has been with Jared and Ivanka over the years.

@Gargron I've lost count of how many people I've blocked, including people I used to follow, who don't understand just how bad everything to do with generative AI, and AI in general, actually is for the environment, artists rights, and data privacy. It's alarming how many just go "Haha look, funny picture" and just dismiss all the problems out of hand.
