@sunumbral It was nuts! The Ranger at the Visitor's Center said part of my route was affectionately called "the roller coaster." Some of the climbs were so steep I had walk on my tiptoes and dig my poles in to propel forward.

I feel like some of the trails at Henry Coe were created based on a dare 🤣

Nature never stops humbling me. That's a good thing.

This (my 2nd backpacking trip) was grueling, and I'm still processing the experience.
For now, sleep. Lots and lots of sleep.

@justine I must have received at least 20 of these annoying messages, all from different instances. Finally I ended up going into my Mastodon filters and adding "Fediverse Chick." It's been blissfully silent since then.

@john Only 10W but it’s all I need to trickle charge my battery bank throughout the day. It weighs almost nothing so that’s a bonus.

@xepe I wasn't aware it existed until a few days ago! There are varieties of this brand that require milk (which is undoubtedly tastier and richer) but I opted for the "just add hot water" style for simplicity on the trail.
