The instinct of inevitable progress, is the enemy of actual progress.
I was born in Norway in 1969. I grew up in a world where progress, financially and socially, seemed to be the default. Things might not always improve, but for every step back, there seemed to be two forward.
My generation seem almost incapable to comprehend the fact that progress is not inevitable. That what is won might be lost. That we must work to move in the right direction.
Maybe even fight.
