I have reached the point where I'm almost certain I will buy a Brompton. But there is one question I just can't find an answer to. So help me out:

Is the seat post in any way fastened to the bike? Or can you just pull it all the way out?

That would make locking it in a high bike theft city like Oslo a rather nervy experience. And I really don't want to have to bring the seat post with me everywhere.
