@tuckfrump You do realise that if you keep searching for GPS and Hedy Lamarr, you will by definition find a lot of pages that keep repeating the same misunderstandings, right? A form of bias.

Just like if you search for "Loch Ness" and "sightings" you will find pages listing sightings of the Loch Ness monster. Does that mean it is real?

@evan I am no expert but I have had the impression that the very point of Mastodon is that there is no central control and guaranteed delivery but posts just propagate as “best effort” and thus also an attempt to delete a reply done on another server might not propagate to the servers of people that already have seen the reply, or will see it.

If total control is wanted, some very different architecture would be needed, right?

I am sure somebody has already identified the sources of the slides used? Some of them seem to be from interesting presentations, it would be great to be able to check them out.

@HauntedOwlbear At least for #LNER I found it trivial to reserve a seat online (for free) when travelling in the UK on #Interrail last years. Worked brilliantly. No problem getting a seat even for the same day at least for 1st class in April.

I wonder whether Eurail actually might implement it if we just asked kindly? The easiest to implement would probably be a way to get a dump of a trip through their website, and not a new feature in the app.

@goatsarah @seatsixtyone The report gives examples of newly (re-)started night train routes. It does not claim to provide an exhaustive list of routes that no longer exist, or have never existed.
