@evan I am no expert but I have had the impression that the very point of Mastodon is that there is no central control and guaranteed delivery but posts just propagate as “best effort” and thus also an attempt to delete a reply done on another server might not propagate to the servers of people that already have seen the reply, or will see it.
If total control is wanted, some very different architecture would be needed, right?
