I was just in a store where the clothes did'nt have price tags and I found an employee to ask where the prices were and she told me to download their app and scan the bar code of the item. Nope nopenopenope. I noped on out of there.

JoAnn's closing virtually all stores by April will be a problem for sewists. The other 2 big craft chains don't stock much fabric; local quilt shops generally don't stock knits, rayon, denim, gauze and other clothes-making staples. And as far as I know, JoAnn's is THE major outlet for the big pattern companies - I suspect this will be close to a death blow for Simplicity/McCalls/Butterick/Vogue. So now would be a good time for #sewists to stock up on copies of your staple #SewingPatterns.

Plans for #today include #BandRehearsal this evening. We are rehearsing Johan de Meij's "Lord of the Rings" Symphony (20 years before the movie was a gleam in anyone's eye) for a May concert. I am playing bari sax, playing the bari sax, 2nd bassoon, and 4th trombone parts because no wind band is back to the size it was pre-pandemic.

I started this afghan to prove a point to some1 who refused to recognize the difference between combination & permutation, insisting that w/ 5 colors of yarn you can only make 24 diff granny squares. I spelled out for her, using letters, all 120 permutations - and she blocked me. Anyway, I grabbed two sets of 5 colors of yarn, and started making these African flowers. 240 unique flowers, + 7 made from scraps from both sets, so still unique; 9 rows of 15, 8 rows of 14

@feditips All the little word games I play have one - Septle, Wordle, Worldle, etc. Seems to work well.
