Der Sonderforschungsbereich, an dessen Förderantrag ich mitgearbeitet habe und in dem ich promovieren wollte, wird nicht eingerichtet.

Der Sonderforschungsbereich, in dem ich die letzten vier Jahre als Scientific Programmer (Beratung und Umsetzung bei allem was mit Daten und Programmierung zu tun hat; von Website über Docker, Jupyter Hub, Datenerhebung bis Workshops und Forschungsdatenmanagement) gearbeitet habe, wird für eine weitere Förderperiode verlängert. Ich werde aus persönlichen Gründen nicht mehr dabei sein.

Somit stehe ich vor der Entscheidung, womit ich ab nächstem Jahr mein Geld verdienen möchte. Im wissenschaftsnahen Bereich bleiben? Wieder näher zu den Medien? Angestellt? Selbständig? Ich weiß es noch nicht.

Falls ihr interessante Stellen kennt, gerne schicken. Daten, Python und Menschen bereiten mir Freude. Ich brauche das Gefühl etwas nützliches zu machen, um motiviert zu bleiben. Arbeitszeitflexibilität damit Kinderbetreuung klappt. Eher Teilzeit als Vollzeit. Remote mit Präsenz als Ausnahme (etwa Workshops und andere Veranstaltungen). Aufgrund von Autismus und ADHS habe ich eine stark schwankende Produktivität (zeitlich, nicht qualitativ). Bevorzugt arbeite ich mit ebenfalls neurodivergenten Menschen zusammen.

Sometimes I install a program to solve a very specific problem. Because of the time and energy I invested to find the right program, I tend to not remove it afterwards, even though I don't need it anymore. I should just create a list. But what if I can't find that list again? And where should I store it? [in logseq like all my other notes] Too many decisions. And every time I upgrade programs, I am reminded of those awesome programs that I don't need.

Maybe it's easier to let them go, when I post about them.

@earthshine @thomasfuchs I meant the combination with solar. Solar produces the most energy during summer, but heat pumps need the energy during winter. ACs need the most energy when solar produces the most energy.

@thomasfuchs Shit can still have nutrients that can be extracted by eating it. Capybaras for example eat their shit because they don't have multiple stomachs like many ruminants.

Toxic garbage would be a more appropriate term.

It's okay to be angry.”), tell them why you didn't like what they did (“But calling others names hurts them.”) and finally ask them how to fix the situation (“What could we do to fix this situation? Wenn es einen Streikaufruf durch die Gewerkschaft an einem Standort gibt, dürfen alle betroffenen Beschäftigten dort streiken. Unabhängig davon, ob sie selbst in einer Gewerkschaft sind oder nicht. Ist man in einer Gewerkschaft und hat durch den Streik einen Lohnausfall, kann man Streikgeld beantragen.

- #Xcorp may view it as a violation of their terms (automation) and ban your account. Use at your own risk.
- At least in the EU you have a right to delete your own data which overrules any company terms.
- This only removes them from your profile, Tweets may still exist in backups and other places.

I wasn't able to get the script to run unsupervised. After some time the timeline stays empty and you have to manually reload the page and run the script again. Currently, I am testing it with a 15 year old account with 19 k Tweets. I had to reload every 500 Tweets on average. After adjusting the script to not hit the rate-limit (50 requests per minute), it should run with less interruptions. But the Xcorp infrastructure is unreliable. #twitter
