     @thomasfuchs The school therapist says to first affirm their emotions (“I see that you are angry. It's okay to be angry.”), tell them why you didn't like what they did (“But calling others names hurts them.”) and finally ask them how to fix the situation (“What could we do to fix this situation? Maybe delete the post and bake muffins for the person you hurt?”).

     @thomasfuchs And they never seem to admit it was their behavior at fault. They'll always insist that it was some opinion of theirs that the mod is punishing them for, or that the mod just doesn't like them.

     Same thing, whether it's something as consequential as which political party they vote for more often, or trivial like which version of a superhero is their favorite.
