Anachron :void: (anachron@fosstodon.org)'s status on Thursday, 10-Aug-2023 23:49:08 JST Anachron :void: Here is a crazy idea for all those phone makers out there:
Make it repairable, last long and stop surveiling us at each and every step. What we want is freedom and choice, not 10% faster cpu, 15% more battery, 5% slimmer and 20% less features with every release.
Oh and while we're at it, maybe support it for more than 2 years because... we actually still have an environment that we can save?
Sincerly

Ralf Niederhammer (nieral@wien.rocks)'s status on Thursday, 10-Aug-2023 23:50:12 JST Ralf Niederhammer Is there anyone who has managed to use #signal on the #pinephone running @postmarketOS with #phosh? This is the only reason I use my pinephone only for business purposes and not as my (private) daily driver. Neither #axolotl or #signal-cli or pidgin worked for me (and I spent countless hours...). It's time that @signalapp support #mobilelinux.

dcz (dcz@fosstodon.org)'s status on Thursday, 10-Aug-2023 23:49:07 JST dcz @Anachron Take a look at #Librem5: it's NOT surveiling you at all (challenging but doable), it's somewhat repairable (a bit hard), but it doesn't last that long (hard if you want the other two).
