   A new release of Flare, a #linux and #mobilelinux app to chat with your friends on Signal, has just dropped!

   Version 0.9.2 includes a hotfix for linking being broken, and additionally, an updated description and namespace.

   You can find more details on the releases page: https://gitlab.com/schmiddi-on-mobile/flare/-/releases/0.9.2, and download this update from Flathub, or Flare's AUR packages!

     @devrtz Thank you for looking into our app!

     You are correct; Flare must be linked to a primary Signal device (support for using it as a primary device is planned).

     So if you want to use just a Linux phone, then you'll need to link Flare to signal-cli.

     Thanks for working on this @schmiddionmobile !
     I've took mental note of Flare and I'm looking forward to trying it out sometime soon.

     (my grandma sadly won't join Matrix/XMPP/Mumble ... yet!)

     I guess I would need to use the signal-cli for account creation/verification (as I don't have - and don't want to have - an Android device handy)?
