@buru5 @spinning_bird all this reminds me of the demos on a DS or 3DS - beyond even stopping at a level or two like most demos, you have a limited number of times you can try it before I assume the software locks up? Never used all the tries, although some games I'm probably close.

I'm a physical game guy when possible but the industry has been going more and more digital only and yeah, now this. Subscription stuff.

I've tried out GamePass a couple times when it was SUPER cheap and then I try like 20 or 30 games hahaha. But would I pay for it monthly regularly? Nah. I wanna have the game free and clear in ONE way or another. Takes me FOREVER sometimes to get through certain games.

@youronlyone SAME. The last couple years I've done Diablo each year once through. Maybe I will this year too. It's so good. I emulate it on my PS1 mini 😂 no cheats though. Beat it with warrior in 2022, rogue in 2023 and I'm not sure I ever will with sorcerer. Maybe this is my year. 😂🤣 I'm obsessed with roguelikes too.

A service called Spy Pet is scraping Discord servers, archiving and tracking users' messages and activity, and then selling access to that data.

Spy Pet scrapes more than 10,000 Discord servers, and besides selling access to anyone with cryptocurrency, it offers the data for training AI models or to assist law enforcement agencies, according to its website.

Spy Pet claims to be tracking more than 14,000 servers, 600 million users, and includes a database of more than 3 billion messages.

@buru5 😂 I've been in situations like this. It IS weird. Talked to a physical therapist one time during a massage, he's like I only like DOTA and things like that. Blew his mind I could still play Wolf 3D, original Doom, DKC. He said he couldn't do games with graphics like that. Me, I don't wanna play a movie. I don't. I want a GAME.

Today of course marks the 30th anniversary of nine inch nails' legendary record The Downward Spiral. This masterpiece of an album was released March 8, 1994, and was a pretty intense thing for 14 year old me to hear.

This photo is from Instagram - Trent just posted it, saying what 28 year old him had to say still excites him but breaks his heart. It's a dark album, man. All the pigs are still lined up.

MAKE YOUR OWN WEBSITE and put your art there (edit: and use that Glaze type of stuff on your art that wrecks AI, just to be sure)! Neocities is SO easy to set up! Or your own domain and hosting via porkbun, GoDaddy (non-WordPress) - anything at all other than proprietary/walled stuff!

@killyourfm yeah, this is nuts. It's everywhere now. My sister paid for our Aerosmith tickets many years ago so I'd drive, they were $75 and that felt like a lot in the 2000s. We saw Britney's last Vegas show in 2017 and it was $150 each. Decent seats. It's getting bad
