Anyways so what I was going to say is that, I could buy a car in Japan, have it registered to me, pay the insurance and all associated fees and maintenance expected of owning a car. (Foreigners can own property including vehicles.)

I could then justtm hire a private chauffeur, and then I'd have the luxury of 🐝ing able to live in Rural Japan (there's nothing luxurious about rural japan).

They are genuinely stupid, but what I think is more likely is that some palms are being greased and somebody's getting money under the table given FIFA's track record.

Like local businesses can't even sell ad space to companies who are in competition with any of the primary ad holders for the games themselves. There's very little locals can make money on this game considering how much FIFA is making on broadcast revenue.

Well those people watching the soccer game right now are getting three times as many commercials.

Because right now it's swelteringly hot in North America and FIFA decided to give the athletes two extra water breaks during each game, which they fill with ad time.

Fifa is projected to make 4.6 billion off of this game and I'm just thinking to myself. how do I get in on this cash cow of scamming Europeans. every American city that agreed to host a FIFA game is getting scammed because Fifa is not paying them a dam 🦫 cent. if I was a resident of Miami, Florida I would be furious that my mayor authorized the world cup to come here.
