It appears that some people, Koreans especially, have misunderstood the on-going "Korea vs SEAblings and the World" drama. The drama started because some Korean Karens used an already resolved issue to racially attack ASEAN cultures. #SEAblings are on the defensive and are only giving the Karens a taste of their own medicine.

The Karens attacked the ASEAN cultures FIRST, as a defensive response, the SEAblings returned the favor. Since the Karens are Koreans, it became a collateral damage.

This is one such drama that has been happening in the #Kpop scene for days now. It turned into South Koreans vs South-East Asians, Africans, Latinos, and a few Europeans.

Here in the #Philippines the word #Autistic is still considered derogatory, offensive, ableist, often used as a joke and/or to mean "abnormal". This is despite years of usage from amongst us, the autistics.

It still is a "war", but we are making progress. Keep fighting!

The way AI/LLM "speaks" is very close to how many, if not most, autistics speak/write/organize. If people are saying a work is AI without any proof or bothering to talk to the person first, just because it sounded like one, it tells us how they'll treat an autistic person.

They identify something as AI based on what they think are the signs of an AI. For example, if one is using em dash, you get accused of using an AI tool. How they treated that work translates to how they'll treat an autistic person. True enough, I witnessed an autistic person get told to their face to stop speaking like an AI and to speak like a human being. That ableist person hates to their bone any semblance of AI anywhere.

And there's a new trend: ai;dr or "AI, didn't read". So far, no autistic has come out they got slapped with it (or probably just didn't bother — which is problematic, if we don't speak people will assume what they're doing is correct).

Slowly, the way many of us autistics think, write, speak, present our thoughts, is being identified as AI. The way they act today with this association is slowly translating to how they treat us. They will think we're mocking them (I wouldn't be surprised if that already happened to someone somewhere), and so on.

For us autistics, regardless of our stance on AI, we understand and can separate these. But, the rest of the world? Very few can or is willing to understand.

How people treat AI today is how they will treat you and I tomorrow, and it already started.
