In Android you can long press app icons to open the apps in different states. For example with an ebook reader you can directly open the latest file, in a notes app you can create a new note, in a podcast app you can tell it to immediately check for new episodes upon opening, in many apps you can go directly to a specific part of it, etc.
#Gnome has some sort of support for this, but I've only seen LibreOffice using it? And not for recent documents. Should this feature be expanded on/used more?

Deal?
@molly0xfff Huh, I see now in their FAQ that they have some with and some without DRM. But I can't see any way to know before you purchase what type it is.
Here is a script you can use for any issue. Find your reps' # at https://reps.fyi or https://5calls.org. Every time you see a news story that horrifies you: call about it, or send an e-mail. It matters to say what you believe. You are setting a norm.

Why does @ProPublica need all this info to let you give them some money? Seems dangerous when the reason you want to support them is them standing up against a fascist regime.
Goddamit. I thought that for once, or maaaybe twice, in the 19 years I've been running Linux, that this one time an upgrade from one version to the next had gone fine. Things looked good. Then now there's very obvious graphical glitches in Gnome Settings and Nautilus. Ugh. Guess I'll have to do a clean install yet again. This must be my biggest annoyance with Linux right now, I think.
