That said, my rule for whether to invoke “there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism” is whether you have reasonable alternatives. So firstly the best way to boycott Chevron is to walk, bike, take public transit. And then yeah if you have to drive there’s probably other gas stations in your area so it’s not like it’s an unreasonable burden to avoid Chevron
