#NoKings rally in wee Belfast #Maine was the largest gathering I’ve seen in ~30 years here — and difficult to capture in pics because the crowd filled the central square and spread onto adjoining streets. Positive vibe, clever signs, lots of fams w/kids, minimal good-natured police presence chiefly dealing w traffic. No speeches, little evidence of planning — I think it all kind of fell together and people showed up. Heartening!

Of the names on that #FreeOurFeeds list, it is Eli Pariser’s (which many of us recall from MoveOn.org and the progressive “netroots” movement) that most gives me hope.
