8. Oktober. Endlich wieder ein Amselchen auf dem Balkon. Laut schimpfend. Offenbar kommt man im Revier nach dem Rechten sehen, nachdem vorhin der Efeu, in dem die Spatzen wohnen, wie jeden Herbst, gestutzt worden ist. #BalkongBörds

@killyourfm @loren You're welcome. If it were a swift, I could give you more valid info. Other than this species, swallows continue to feed their offspring after leaving the nest. But I think, they should be able to fly properly by then.

@killyourfm @loren Unfortunately, that's not enough. If they are unable to take off from the ground, they need a professional caretaker. And if they came in contact with cat saliva, even without a visible injury, they need antibiotics from a vet within 24 hours.

@killyourfm @loren So cute! 🤩 As far as I know, swallows have a similar development as swifts, although they're not related. Juvenile swifts do not have a fledgling phase. As soon as they're ready, after hours and hours of exercising, nestlings fly straight from the nest up in the sky. Therefore, a swift on the ground does always need help. And if I'm right, your lil' buddy might need help too.
