During Trump's first time in office he lied about a pandemic leading to the deaths of 1,000,000 Americans and he still lies about this.

How many people will die this time?

Over 50% of Americans cannot read at a high school level.

But we're going to try to tell them about Trump being an authoritarian or fascist.

They don't know what these words mean and they lack the intellectual framework and knowledge of history to understand the explanation.

Driving highway 17 over to Santa Cruz today and we hit some traffic. Eventually we see there's a white delivery van with its hazard lights on in the right hand lane. I assumed it was broken down and stuck there. However shortly after I pass this vehicle I see in my rear view mirror the van suddenly accelerates and makes a left turn crossing both sides of the freeway. He stopped so he could make a left turn from the right hand lane. On the highway, where the speed limit is 50 MPH, across three lanes including two going the opposite direction. And he caused a huge backup affecting hundreds of other people.

This seems somehow emblematic of our time.

If you talk to Taleb or read his writing he says Black Swans are impossible to predict not just hard to predict.

That is no method (computation) can be used to predict a Black Swan event.

Obviously weather forecasting and climate forecasting exist, suggesting that climate related events cannot be Black Swans in general.

So a few blocks from my house there is this house owned by Nazis. This is not a joke they spray painted swastikas on their fence, house and trash cans and had various alt-right bumper stickers on one of their cars. I took some pictures of these.

Apparently the neighbors were able to force them to remove the swastikas despite first amendment arguments about this.

Because I took pictures, one of the Nazis knows who I am.

I drove by there yesterday and he saw me and he was afraid.

That's interesting.

The Nazis killed my entire family except my great grandparents who came to the US.

Everyone, there were no survivors as far as anyone knows.

So if I say it's my opinion that Republicans are Nazis and I mean they are similar to the historical Nazis and might become as dangerous, I do actually know what I am talking about.

They plan to build concentration camps for 1 million immigrants. After they deport the first million what do they plan to do with those camps? You imagine they will just get rid of them? Hmm.
