Absolutely. I was just gonna say that the mother gives the son an image of what to look for in a wife. While the father gives an image of what to be as a man.

I agree, the mother can’t offer asylum to the son from the father. But the mother is not the image of strength that the son should be looking up to. That’s the father’s job. I know that’s a simplification of course because there’s always exceptions and balance. But generally the father is strong parent.

It’s the father’s job to make them strong. It’s the mother’s job to teach them manners. In my opinion

The context on this is quite different. If you’re gonna make a joke, it should be clear that it’s a joke.
