    Giving this video by @MediaActivist another lil boost

    "When activists call for an anti-capitalist, anti-establishment media, what does this mean? What should such media look like? Local Autonomous Media (or LoAM) groups currently being formulated in the UK are inspired by, and modeled on, the successes of the Mutu Network over in France - where activists developed, from the ground up, a horizontal media collective interconnected across different cities. What makes this model different to anything else before it? And how can we replicate something like this with LoAM in the UK? More context from Jay at this on-line article https://organisemagazine.org.uk/loam-local-autonomous-media-theory-and-analysis/ "

      Inspired by France’s Mutu Network, a group has formed with a view to creating Local Autonomous Media here in the UK. There has perhaps never been a better time.

    Hearing that things went well at the weekend at Hacktionlab.

    And glad you were able to connect with them.

    Any chance the recording (or an edited version) will be posted on online?

    The Roy Family (like the Murdochs and other similar dynasties) are the new Royals.

    I don't know if it is any deeper than this but...

    Roman = Roman (The Roman Empire)
    Connor = Conner (Someone who cons people)
    Siobhan ("Shiv") = Shiv (a bladed weapon)
    Kendall = Ken doll (Barbie toy)

    I looked into trying to set up an account on a FunkWhale server but they all seem to be closed to new registrations.

    When I'm in a better financial situation I am defo going to setup my own Funkwhale instance, get an idea of how much the running costs are and then try to figure out how to keep it financially stable.

    @evan

    I was able to change my handle (for how long I don't know) but not able to link to either mastodon.social or my own instance.

    I could still retweet an old post linking over to Mastodon though.
