I looked into trying to set up an account on a FunkWhale server but they all seem to be closed to new registrations.

When I'm in a better financial situation I am defo going to setup my own Funkwhale instance, get an idea of how much the running costs are and then try to figure out how to keep it financially stable.

I was able to change my handle (for how long I don't know) but not able to link to either mastodon.social or my own instance.

I could still retweet an old post linking over to Mastodon though.
