@skinnylatte yeah some of the group just weren't into the sour! Others had had it before, at the nearby Fish With You (which they like to call Fish Be With You (and also with you)). I learned there's a Fish With You in Brooklyn, gotta check it out when I get home!

@skinnylatte I went with family to Tai Er tonight - half of us (including me) really loved the sour fish soup and the other half did not!

@skinnylatte ahh i was gonna recommend Kopitiam but as a non coffee drinker I didn't know if it was actually good or not (I only go there for nasi lemak). I'm glad it's just right!

@skinnylatte Sometimes I'll be desperate enough to steam idli from a mix and make sambar with spice mix and frozen veg but it's just not the same (and it's such a pain to clean the idli steamer after!)

I can't even attempt rice rolls at home!

@skinnylatte shrimp rice roll and plain congee would be one of my ideal breakfasts and there's nothing like that in my neighborhood 😭

No idli+sambar in my neighborhood either. It's terrible!
