    @silverwizard I think that with proper use of whitespace, JSON can be quite readable.

    I will concede that machine-generated JSON is frequently a nightmare, but I find it no worse than machine-generated XML.

    @silverwizard I'm genuinely curious, in what way is XML better than JSON? The only argument I can see for XML over JSON is support for namespaces, but I don't find that a terribly compelling argument.

    To be clear, I don't think that either should be used for configuration files.

    I just noticed that the content filter add-on (NSFW) isn't working any more. This is perhaps related to the upgrade to 2022.12, but I'm not certain.

    I've tried disabling the add-on and re-enabling it as that has resolved add-on issues in the past, but no dice.

    @hypolite Yeah, I've since succeeded with some Pleroma instances. I just seem to be finding that the ones that are being problematic are Pleroma instances. The one in my original post is an example.

    news@forum.friendi.ca I remember the 2022.12-rc version saying that the .htaccess file needed to be updated on Apache. If I'm upgrading from 2022.10, do I need to do this still?

    @silverwizard @hypolite That's the thing. I've seen people getting mad about artists selling their art on the Fediverse. Again, if that bothers you, don't follow them. It's simple. It's not like there's an algorithm shoving ads down anyone's throat.
