    @silverwizard How can someone refuse to use DeltaChat? Do they not have email?

    I'm actually banned from Discord for reasons that were never made entirely clear. I could probably evade the ban, but I can't be bothered.

    @silverwizard I'm not a fan of either. We had Slack at Boltmade, but I honestly couldn't understand why we didn't just use IRC (or XMPP). We didn't (to my knowledge) use it for anything other than chat.

    I use Nextcloud now.

    @hypolite I hear you about disks being too small to partition. Doesn't mean I didn't do it anyways. I remember getting a 1.7GB HDD in the mid 90s.

    "We'll never use that much space!"

    Also, Windows had this weird utility that let you create a compressed filesystem on a floppy, 'cause you gotta push that 1.44MB for all it's worth. I once tried nesting such a system within itself to double the compression, because compression is magic, right? Lost all my data in the process.

    Anyways... what were we talking about again?

    @hypolite How does that work? I remember in an old job I had, we had these PLCs that were programmed by connecting building blocks to form a flowchart of sorts, but it's not terribly common.

    On top of that, it's an inevitability that someone is eventually going to build these tools whether people like them or not. It's only a matter of time.

    When you put something out on the public internet, you can never be certain it's been fully removed. I've cone to make peace with that fact. Whether I like it or not is immaterial.

    I love how the admin had a "racism will not be tolerated" post pinned on their profile, but the server itself had the TLDs of several countries blocked.
