@silverpill what about DDOS resistance? Does nostr have an advantage there? and do you know of any possible upgrades activitypub could do to make it more p2p and DDOS resistant?

Isn’t activitypub similar enough to email that delta chat could be forked to be an activitypub messenger with end to end encryption like it does for email messaging?

have you looked at the @LemmyDev code? Its extremely nice and written in rust. with the fediverse collectively funding projects like https://cloudplane.org and https://masto.host in ways that can be forked we can make it super simple for anyone to less than $8 a month for their own server.
