     have you looked at the @LemmyDev code? Its extremely nice and written in rust. with the fediverse collectively funding projects like https://cloudplane.org and https://masto.host in ways that can be forked we can make it super simple for anyone to less than $8 a month for their own server.

     millions of Discord and Minecraft users pay and run their own servers already
