chances are all that's needed is a VM and to take a few minutes to harden it?

dont use exfat, it can be every bit as slow as fat32.

don't feel bad about needing mods, the game is meant to be modded and enjoyed however you want. also i have like 6000+ hours in it by now probably more (i am an outlier and should not be counted -- i fukkin love this game)
