Thank you, helpful Gentoo maintainer, for packaging brscan4 and documenting how to add a network printer. It's awkward but at least it gets the job done.

Rather than implement motion detection on a security camera feed, I think it's easier to add a microphone and detect barking sounds from the dog.

Project status: completed. Turns out PipeWire can be made to work on top of an existing ALSA config; saves me the trouble of setting up multi-user PipeWire and convincing everything to use it.

Today's project: converting my ALSA setup to PipeWire. Wish me luck. 🤞

@clacke Size + checksum, yup. The goal is to reconstruct the original torrent even if you've moved around and renamed and organized the files in your own collection.

@clacke A directory that you've presumably put the files in at some point, to reconstruct a torrent after you've archived the files somewhere.

@clacke mktorrent creates a fresh new torrent, my tool takes an existing torrent and finds the corresponding files so you can re-seed it.

Today's status: spent a few hours writing code only to realize I didn't even need it.

(Friend suggested clitorass, but let's not go there...)
