    OK this rant has been brewing for a bit. Dear neurodivergent people: Knock it off with the “feral” shit. You are not “feral” because you have ADHD or autism. That term does not mean shy, awkward or introverted, it is used for animals who can’t interact with humans without attacking them. I am truly sorry you learned to see yourself as less than a human being because your brain works differently, but you do not need to continue believing that. It’s a lie, let it go.

    Degrading yourself is not cute and I’m pretty fucking sick of you dragging down other ND people and infecting them with self-loathing. If you INSIST on calling yourself an animal, then log off, go be one in a cave somewhere and let those of us motivated to heal support each other in peace.

    @KiKi88 What an uptight loony tune. People I work with and I use email smilies all the time. Also my coworker has animal-shaped paper clips and puts them on papers to go to the judge lol. Boss draws little faces on directions she gives us. On Wednesdays, we wear pink!

    I’m sure this person would also find our daily snack break unprofessional, but hey she’s not invited 🙂

    Work can be insanely stressful sometimes and fun traditions help keep us sane. Other people can feel free to drown in misery!

    I wonder how widespread stigma really is. I don’t hear a lot of it myself; even my conservative dad kind of grasped my anxiety when I explained it to him.

    Most of it comes from the right, I believe. If you hang around sometimes in RW places (as I do to escape the left, not because I like it) you’ll hear more stigma. And I think because of the MH issue itself as well as feeling shame for it, people internalize that viewpoint and unintentionally repeat it to themselves, creating the impression of hearing degrading/dismissive comments more often than they actually do.

    @Arcana @vriska @Moon @coolboymew @Piss_Ant I am pro-humans and anti-anything that reduces them to tools valued for body parts. E.g., I despise the sex industry and am suspicious of organ donation because both cause physical harm to people while benefiting others in some way. Even saving human lives doesn’t necessarily justify swooping like vultures on a dying human to take advantage of their remains.

    Additionally, consent is murky due to the emotional pressure to save others by donating organs, or in the case of being prostituted, due to financial necessity and factors such as language barriers or mental health barriers causing difficulty finding work.

    Therefore, because pregnancy/birth physically injure women for the sake of the future child, while continuing society and emotionally profiting others (spouse, family, and so on—and again consent is dubious due to enormous pressure to submit—I believe it’s exploitative.

    I don’t think humanity itself is evil: just the current means of its creation. Pregnancy should be phased out and replaced by gestation outside human bodies. Which in addition to preventing thousands of maternal deaths in a single year, could be developed by first continuing to improve incubation of premature babies until full gestation becomes viable.
