That's another question: is Europe (the US being a no show these days) helping Ukraine enough?

And, yes, you could argue Europe should do more, give more, and allow Ukraine to strike deeper into Russia.

Remember, though, that Europe is pretty dependent on the US because, with rare exceptions, Europeans have decided to buy American stuff instead of producing their own armaments.

Things are changing, but slowly. Europe really is caught between a rock and a hard place.

Europe is helping Ukraine, and has been helping Ukraine, almost since day one.

Contrary to what you seem to think, Europeans understand perfectly well what is at stake.

Some people in Europe may resent Ukraine (Orban, for instance) but it's because they are bought and paid by Moscow.

20 minutes to London Saint Pancras.

Coming into London, I am always reminded that this is probably the only 'International' train station in the UK.

Also that British weather is really bad this time of year.

Stuck in Brick Lane with she of the 19 years of age and curly hair.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with London's Brick Lane, it's like one of the largest vintage clothes shop concentration in the world. Also: vegetarian Indian restaurants for some reason.

She has been having the time of her life.

Me... Not so much. Send help. 😉

Today's loot:

- Lunch & dinner with she of the 19 years of age and curly hair (as a student in London, she is the reason I am here)

All in all a smashing day in Jolly Old England. Weather is cold, but acceptable so far.

Now back in hotel room. Some light reading and off to bed we go, to do it all over again tomorrow!

Yes, but this is happening not because of Mastodon, but despite Mastodon.

First of all, Mastodon is NOT the Fediverse, or activitypub. End to end encryption is not happening in Mastodon, it's happening on the activitypub side.

Second. The current team developing Mastodon is totally uninterested in (a) end to end encryption and (b) privacy, security and moderation tools. They are interested in becoming landlords and gatekeepers by growing their 'market share'.
