Sweet for breakfast is common in most of France, to be honest. I think Spanish people like their sweet things for breakfast as well.

Source: I had "pain au chocolat" for breakfast this morning.

OK, OK, I had a LOT of pain au chocolat VERY LATE today, but it still count as breakfast. 😉

Salty breakfast is more of a germanic / anglo-saxon thing but I am not holding that against our neighbours!

Today, in great dialogues at work:

- Them: We are going to meet with Fortinet for this cloud project.

- Me: Uh... Wait... Why Fortinet?

- Them: The end client wants top-notch security!

- Me: Fortinet is NOT top-notch security (gestures wildly at a long list of 2024 and 2025 CVEs with CVSS 9+)

- Them: You are too negative, this is probably all corrected by now...

- Me: IT IS NOT! (gestures wildly at all the reports of Fortinet hw exploited in the wild)

- Them: you are so negative...

I have no idea how to feel about that, but (a) she will be chaperoned by a friend of the family, who is a designer at the show and (b) she seems to be having a lot of fun, so I have got that going for me.

Monday blues.

- Using VS Codium because it has a vim plugin. I can't stand Codium, but I can't install vim.

- 3pm Monday meeting still not started after 10+ minutes of waiting online. This one is ready to solve, since I'll disconnect in a few minutes while posting on Mastodon.

- The weather is beautiful outside: blue skies and lovely sun... And I am stuck inside because of the two points mentioned above.
