Yours has vcs-git in a meta element

GitHub seems to have nothing similar to that at all

Forgejo only has this plus an s/atom/rss version, which is just a firehose of all activity in the repo

2. 46-second screen recording show me logging into willow, scrolling through a few projects, expanding the embedded release notes for a couple of them, then tracking releases for a project hosted on a cgit server. its release notes are from the git tag so they're presented as preformatted text rather than HTML

@martijn I have Firefox's tracking protection stuff set to the max and uBlockOrigin has a ton of additional filter lists and rules enabled but it still says I'm allowing ads :neofox_lul:

Could someone point me to a good, *simple* way of detecting whether someone is (or is not) using an ad blocker?

I want to surface a small, unobtrusive box in a corner of my website encouraging visitors without an ad blocker to install uBlockOrigin.

Pro tip for optimising images before uploading them somewhere like fedi so the recipient(s) don’t have to download 12 MBs of unimportant detail
magick input.jpg -resize 1000x resized.jpg du input.jpg resized.jpg # see the size difference jpegoptim -s --all-progressive -m70 resized.jpg du input.jpg resized.jpg # see the size difference
Resizing the image does most of the heavy lifting. Very few people will blow it up fullscreen on a 4k display; 1000px wide is usually sufficient. The jpegoptim command strips metadata (such as location), turns it into a progressive JPG so it loads more pleasantly, then reduces the image detail by 30%
For PNGs, replace .jpg with .png and the jpegoptim command with
optipng -o6 -strip all resized.png
It strips metadata and brute-forces common compression settings to find which one is more efficient.

I am very much in the minority: I dislike Markdown but haven't found anything else I like more that's as easy to work with :akko_woozy:

I received an email supposedly from MetaMask the other day. I first opened it from my phone and thought "eh this might be legit, I'll give it a proper look later".

I look at it in Emacs on my desktop and I am very much vindicated in using a text-based email client; this is absolutely not legit :neocat_laugh_tears:
