@thomasfuchs I think it’s possible there’s more to LLMs than crypto. But I also thought purpose built LLMs would be better than more general ones.

I’ve found this to not be the case at all, they’re worse in my experience so far.

I think there *could* be more there but my confidence in that is going down not up.

Everyone rushed to get on the bandwagon (just like crypto of course) and what have we seen out of that exactly? Not much at all.

@thomasfuchs Trump didn’t show up but he had the gallows from the capitol shipped in and setup next to Mike Pence. Crazy!

Mind blowing to me that I am having to consider buying a computer out of my own pocket to do my job. I've had to do this many times over the years, but never expected I'd have to do it working for such a large company.

It's like a carpenter not being assigned with a working hammer. It's a drop in the bucket but companies never invest properly in tools for their employees.

Biggest takeaway is mastodon isn’t great at breaking news but is better in basically every other way. Honestly though, it’s probably healthier not mainlining the news through the twitter fire hose anyway
