@bodhidave @J3Words when I was a kid my mum took us out downtown to have breakfast. I wasn't used to go out and I ate so fast that some food stuck on my throat and I was choking. A stranger came from nowhere, performed a Hemlich maneuver on me and saved my life. Mum told me later I was turning blue when that person came. Everything happened so fast that we didn't get to thank the person. It was about 30 years ago.

Today we had a vet coming to vaccinate our 3 cats. After the vaccines, the vet was supposed to give them deworming pills but my older cat spitted a tooth ? She's 10, so apparently she's senior now. We are changing her diet to senior cat food (already ordered), running blood tests (in a few days) and she suggested a dental cleaning. I'm not sure about the dental cleaning because I've heard several stories about cats dying because of anesthesia. Any thoughts? #Today #Cat

My cat didn't wanted to eat or drink anything today. So we had to take her to the vet. Apparently it's not the first teeth she has lost, there's not many left on one of the sides of her jaw. We're running tests next week and by the end of the month she's having a canine (and maybe more teeth) removed by a human dentist under the vet supervision for anesthesia. We bought her a can of soft food and I'm forcing her to drink water. I hope she recovers soon. #today #cat

@evan I have a subterranean river about 50 m to my apartment. Sometimes (when there's a storm or a hurricane) it fills with water and we have floodings in my street.

@ruud this was interesting. I signed up on November 3rd, just on the massive migration. I really enjoy this instance and the variety of users around. Thanks for explaining the process of scaling and maintaining this server. I just started a job and I have big expenses this month, but I'll try to chip in next month ?
