@julian @evan I do trends for individual hashtags only. I fear that analyzing co-occurrency is going to use much more memory than I am allowed to use on our servers in the basement.

@silverpill I implemented that relay follow-back in October 2023 and triggered it a few times since then. Gets me 1% of the content compared to Mastodon client APIs.

Looking at the traffic, I get POSTs on that endpoint from a few manually-entered relays and from Mastodon and Friendica instances that use the buzzrelay. But these two send me every post many times for each of the hashtags they follow on https://relay.fedi.buzz. This spikey traffic amplification scares me and I want it resolved.

Yesterday, the #FediBuzz relay at https://relay.fedi.buzz turned three years old. By now we are feeding 1704 servers and 6149 other users.

Did the #FediBuzz relay stop working for anyone who upgraded to Mastodon 4.5? If that's the case I need to find a Rust implementation of RFC9421 ASAP: https://docs.joinmastodon.org/spec/security/#http-message-signatures
