@evan Qualified no. My family is multicultural, and parents and my in-laws do Christmas trees. We don’t in my house, because I’m Jewish, and while my husband is a culturally Christian atheist, we have five cats. So like, I participate in tree related activities (decorating, making ornaments, etc) with family sometimes, but it’s not my thing.

OH MY GOD THEY HAVE CONSPIRACY THEORIES ABOUT IT. Some of these TERFs are convinced that trans people are just pretending to have detransition kinks in order to drown out the voices of actual detransitioners.

What’s really insidious here is that the idea that people who detransition out of regret are being silenced, rather than frantically interviewed about having their stories spread around by transphobes.

What I really find concerning about the lionisation of Luigi Mangione is not that it's distasteful or whatever, it's that it's not divided along the usual party lines. And I'm concerned that if this becomes a trend, that might really mean a civil war.
