   People online keep trying to come up with leftist ways to use the Death Note and they always amount to “Light was just targeting the wrong people.” I think they might be missing the core concept here.

     @BathysphereHat Rewatching now, and like the part where Light sans memories is criticising his Kira self feels like it makes that point in a fairly inescapable way. And yet I'm not surprised at all that people miss even that.
