Actually, I do have WP SuperCache installed too.

@pfefferle self hosted on Digital Ocean using Nginx. Site is behind Cloudflare.

@pfefferle I've tried multiple times to get it working on my WP site and it never seems to work and I haven't really had time to devote to troubleshooting it.

@MediaActivist I don't have a lot of experience with Ghost but I've been maintaining WordPress sites for people for years so if I can be of any help just let me know.

@matthew probably not the answer you're looking for but let me ask a question or two. Is Apache a necessity? Have you considered Nginx? If you want to discuss the situation via PM I'm willing to do what I can to help.

@matthew my thought was that perhaps Nginx would have a better chance of responding when the other processes are being hogs. I have no experience w/ optipng so I don't have any advice there.
