@bunni @kogomi FFX isn't worth it, FFX-2 is way better, its very verry campy and not like the original at all. So you know... objectively better in every way.

@kogomi Its entirely the story-line like.. all of it. Especially Tidus I wanna kick him in the nads so hard he break orbit. A shallow knucklehead with no self awareness tact, or intelligence, also he's just annoying all the time. Every time he spoke it was like someone took a cheesegrater to the side of my head.

Also this was the first mainline (non spin off) single-player game since Final Fantasy X, which had a horribly written, horribly acted and just plain annoying story. I hated it as a kid I still hate it now and I'm never replaying it.

Oh I played it to the end, but I just wanted to skip al lthe cutscenes after a while.

I always thought that FFXII was criminally underrated the biggest issue was including Vaan and Penelo it's really really not their story, they're just some hanger-ons that you cant remove from your party.

Ash is the real MC it's Ashe. She's the maypole all major plot elements dance around.

Vaan is just a shitty viewpoint character, a non-entity with no personality for the most part with no real stake in the conflict. You could cut him out entirely and aside for patching a few segments here and there you could make it work. Late in the game Vann contributes nothing, has no serious ties to anyone outside the party. He's not a relevant part of anything anyone's saying. or doing or why. No lines that couldn't have been better delivered by someone else

(I think the rumors that Balthier was supposed to be the viewpoint character because he actually has things like, a personality and as time goes on, actually ties to the ongoing plot)

Lets compare it to my novel Fatal Range.

Fatal Range is the focus of the story all plot elements lead back to her. However she is not the viewpoint character, its Nichole, who despite wanting to admit it or not is deeply in love with Fatal Range and that gives her a very good reason to be there, as the story goes she has more and more reasons to still be there.

@GoNintendo honestly they could have removed the entire story and all of the cut-scenes and it would be a much muuuuch better game.

I just finished the first season of Murderbot. I really liked it, a little surprised yet not surprised it got a second season.

Like its a damn good show but the first season ended in a way that if it didn't continue it would be perfectly fine on its own.

@rotteras Yes it does. That's why I was LIVID that P3R decided to nix Kotone, I refused to buy the game because of that alone. I was so angry and disgusted I've basically turned my back on ATLUS altogether.

Sure if Kotone was in they probably wouldn't have given her any additional queer options EVEN IF THEY TOTALLY SHOULD HAVE.

But it would have been a much easier mod to implement than the Kotone mod we have now.

Yeah but it's not the standard not by a long shot. Like I was ready to hard dismiss it before reading half the store page, then after reading the whole thing I did hard dismiss it.

Advertisments can't just assume customers are going to take them the way things should be rather than the way they usually are.

I get what it's trying to do but it's going about it in an incredibly short sighted and self destructive way.
