@mangeurdenuage I am conscious that the hotter an electronic component gets, the more voltage it requires to operate at the same capacity. There's also the risk of electromigration associated with increased voltage.
You can tell I don't think much about solar panels. I just think there are better solutions.

@mangeurdenuage I brought up electromigration as I was first introduced to it when I read overclocked processors become less stable over time and require more voltage to maintain the same clock speeds.
Photovoltaics do not solve the energy density problem. Wind and solar do not compare to diesel and nuclear when it comes to it. Electricity is a mode of energy transport, not an energy source in itself, yet the non-engineers who propose Net Zero and other arbitrary regulations do not understand how any of it will be achieved.

@mangeurdenuage Even if assets were optimised for size, genres like racing would suffer from content bloat. I like driving shitboxes as well as GT and LMP cars, on tracks from all over. A single-layer BD, 25GB, would struggle to hold it all.
