Is there some flag or setting I need to change to make my new #pleroma instance compatible with #AndStatus? It gives me messages like saying my password is wrong when it's not, or that the server is busy. My old instance @fulner worked fine, and this one works fine in Husky. @lain @AndStatus

My understanding is that in order to get my toots to consistently be stored on a given server at least one user on that server needs to subscribe to my updates. I also know that this particular account I don't really have a desire for the whole world to see my posts as they are primarily intended for a more intimate circle of family and real friends. Usually in a followers only capacity.

@BalooUriza ActivityPub and it's associated plaforms aren't decentralized. They are poly-centric. If you want something decentralized, where you can't get disconnected from your friend because two admins have a fight, check out NOSTR.

@mason that being said Friendica is, in my opion, the best platform on the 'verse. I've tried two previous times, once to spin up my own and once to help admin one a friend had some fiver guy in Indonesia set up for him, and both times were utter disasters. I know just enough computer stuff to mess things up real good.

After a brief run-in by nasty federated racists, I've been flattered by how much positive support I've received from the community after my short toot asking to be propagated 'cross the 'verse.
I've received a lot of friend requests and requests to know more about me before they decide to friend me.
If that's you, I've probably ignored your request. Since on this account I'm clearly using my real name and a "well known" url I'm intending this account for communication primarily with family and friends I know IRL, with very few exceptions for folks I've known online well enough that I feel I'm able to pop by their house if I was ever in the neighborhood, for privacy reasons.
Maybe since that's all I'm using this for I didn't need to request to spread my federation. 🤷♀️
That being said I have several other profiles with various pseudonyms/handles on platforms like #NOSTR, #GNU Social, #Glitch, #Mbin and #Diaspora, that I use for various specific things, feel free to try to find me. That's not supposed to sound like a challenge.

#Pleroma I can't tell the difference between tree style and linear style conversation displays.
I was hoping tree style would show such that my home feed included the top post with the replies under it, rather than just a string of replies from un related threads
