     @hey a common misconception is that retooting/boosting a post gets the server into the federation list of another*
     Following the account or commenting^ has a higher likelyhood of getting it to federate

     • It actually does but only on misskey iirc^ Only on some servers, not exactly sure

     My understanding is that in order to get my toots to consistently be stored on a given server at least one user on that server needs to subscribe to my updates. I also know that this particular account I don't really have a desire for the whole world to see my posts as they are primarily intended for a more intimate circle of family and real friends. Usually in a followers only capacity.
