@oook You're comparing a sovereign country unter attack with territories that were abandoned by the states around to be used as a weapon against Israel. The right comparison is not Ukraine and Palestine, it's Palestine and the puppet republics of the Donbas. @EU_Commission

@EU_Commission the level of hate against Israel, a state that suffered a brutal terrorist attack sponsored by the Iranian regime, on the comments here is absolutely disgusting. There goes the theory that Mastodon is a more civilized social network, without hate speech... when the target is Jewish people it's as bad as X around here.

@aral why would it include? Did the EU colonize anyone? Get a grip, not everything is about colonialism... this is tiring and counterproductive. The EU is a union of democracies, it's the opposite of what the colonial nationalist states did.

Today is the day for the #EuropeanParliament to pass the #RestoreNature law. This is vital for the protection of #biodiversity, #climate and our ability to live and feed ourselves on this planet. This law is good for #farming and farmers. No nature, no pollinators, no farming.

Unfortunately this piece of legislation is under attack by the far-right, center-right (EPP) and liberals. You still have a couple of hours to pest your MEPs about it.

A liberdade da nossa sociedade está no nosso individualismo. Não há atribuições coletivas de culpa, nem aos ciganos, nem aos negros e nem aos brancos.

Para mim o pior efeito do identitarismo crescente à esquerda é exatamente isso, anular o individualismo e criar atribuições coletivas de culpa.

Falar em "responsabilidade da branquitude" legitima quem quer falar em responsabilidade cigana.

A esquerda perde-se frequentemente na discussão moral sem atender às consequências práticas.

O resultado é pex em Portugal se aprovar uma lei de imigração ultraliberal que serve para assegurar mão de obra barata e compensar a fuga da mão de obra nacional para o resto da UE. Quem chegar e encontrar trabalho fica, quem se iludiu e não conseguiu nada (ou não se sujeitou ao trabalho pesado do campo) azarito, que volte mais pobre do que o que chegou.

A nível europeu é ainda pior..

O problema da radicalização do discurso sobre #imigração na Europa é que torna difícil discutir o tema com seriedade. 🧵

Chegámos agora ao ponto de ver o governo francês (liberais de centro) a acusar o governo italiano (extrema-direita) de não fazer o suficiente para a controlar. Meloni que só chegou ao poder precisamente por Itália ser o porto de chegada n°1 de imigrantes na UE.

A hipocrisia com o assunto é transversal, da extrema-esquerda à extrema-direita passando pelo centro.
