My former employer issued phones to all salaried people for work use and graciously allowed them to use the phones for personal use. The first ones they used were Blackberries but later on people were given the choice of iphones or android.
Us worker drones were forbidden any electronics on the production floor.

I just went outside to walk the dog and for the first time since we moved here 35 years ago, no fireworks at all. The nearby town had a show just after sundown but no private fireworks at all.

I have to rigorously curate all media. When ads pop up, I click the not interested button. Video shorts that feature a certain celebrity golfer cheating on the putting green get labeled as disgusting.
We have a few yt channels we watch for news and entertainment but the days of carelessly surfing are long gone.

For instance, the authorities have identified the three firefighters killed on a fire on the Utah-Colorado border. There are a bunch of what look to me like AI generated posters giving heroic tribute to them. I don't like or share those. The one plain text post of them I did share.

Making progress getting this branch off the roof. It's cut free of the tree. Further disassembly is required to get it completely off the roof.

Disassembly completed with no problems. I used a variation of what I call the Mark Twain technique. Tie a rope to the branch and pull it to safety.

Why would an attorney even want to use AI? Every lawyer i ever dealt with was paid a very handsome amount per hour. Do a job quicker and you get paid less. Do a job poorly and quicker and never get paid at all.
