@eniko the mastodon cops are pretty harmless I find. If you:

1. take advantage of Mastdon’s features,
2. be mindful your audience is not the same as you
and
3. enjoy making new connections as you find people to follow

Then you’re golden.

Keep in mind it’s easy to be accidentally ableist so part of 1&2 means using CamelCase hashtags and Alt descriptions on your pictures. You don’t have to of course however you do exclude part of your audience if you don’t use them.

@Mrfunkedude I’d like the ability to add missing alt text to posts I boost —maybe with a little passive aggressive notification back to the original poster giving them the option to accept the added alt text via an edit.
